2016/2017 Mixed Matchplay Championship
Mixed Matchplay 2015/2016.
Dear Member welcome to the Mixed Fourball Matchplay Championship 2016/17. The format is a match in which two players play their better ball against the better ball of two other players. The handicap index of all four players is reduced by the player with the lowest handicap, who then plays from scratch.
Each of the three other players is allowed 3/4 of the difference. Eg. Players A, B, C and D have a handicap of 5, 10, 15 and 20. Player A plays at scratch, B receives 3/4 of 5 strokes (4), C receives 3/4 of 10 strokes (8) and D 3/4 of 15 strokes (11). Tees - Red Stones for Ladies and Blue Stones for Men to be used in all matches - not Red or Blue Tee markers of the day.
The top names listed in each match are the challengers and they are responsible for contacting and arranging the match. Blue Stones for men and Red Stones for ladies - not Tee markers of the day. If not contacted within 10 days of the draw being posted the opponents must make the effort to arrange the match and complete it within the allotted time frame. Matches with tee times on Competition days will not be allowed to take part in the competition. Entries are on a first come first serve basis and will close once the event is fully subscribed. Entry fee is Dhs 60.00 per player. Cart fees applicable and green fees as per the player’s membership category. If your Membership term expires during the Tournament you will not be able to compete in the remainder of the matches or the remaining member shall play the round by him or herself.
